A Phenomenological Cookbook
Bring some water to a boil. Peel the tomatoes, or don't.
That merino sweater is lovely, but not ideal for today's exertions. Capture the setting sun in your saucepan, and panic at your idle hurtling towards the grave. Make love while waiting for the dough to rise. Consider how the fork is really an extension of yourself. Bend the tines to know the fork for the first time. Beat the eggs with a fork you haven't ruined. Take a nap and wake up with a whole new mood. The olive oil should now disclose a tang of anxiety. If you must light up, please look into the distance for the whole duration. Note how cigarette smoke is distinct from the scent of burning. When calling for pizza, be authentic to your need. Demand things not on the menu. Better to starve than to eat what everyone else is eating. By Daryl Lim Wei Jie QLRS Vol. 16 No. 3 Jul 2017_____
