Constellations
Sunlight pulls salmon eventide
across rooftops lanes and muffled headstone song of a thousand-eye stare of sky ampersand redbud trees line the streets dove throat-notes caught in a chainlink fence. The night's appetite for a buckled sidewalk a dog pants the moon is still as she struts by fingering a swan-bone flute with Shiloh in the heart riding lemon trees a carousel of sins of shadows on a garage door, and each puddle holds the sky.
