Upgrading
Every election is a covered drain.
Each vote a drop-off porch. Each GRC a sheltered walkway. Each constituency a community garden. Every complaint an awning. Every speech a LED block signage. Every citizen a new surveillance camera. Every good school a ramp abutting the MSCP. But it takes less than five years for any door to sag in frame. Choked pipes to leak. Concrete to spall. The MP's papered smile is fading from his poster to a sneer. A floor tile cracks like a whip under pressure and heat. All structures need occasional upgrading.
