Casebearers I have started noticing
these all around the house. At first it was just one, or two, dotting the bare walls and door jambs. They come in almost the exact same size and shape, though I am sure that if you could peek inside, you would find them different, dormant. Not having the heart to pluck them away, wriggling resolutely, I think I will let them be. On colder nights I will drape myself in a roughspun robe and try to see what it is like, to fall asleep standing upside down, inching along the woodwork, chewing someone else's lint into change. Come find me in a year, when I have made my case, and the walls are arrayed with new life. By Zou Tangming QLRS Vol. 25 No. 1 Jan 2026_____
