For the end comes reaching
a sonnet in twin cinema
For the end comes reaching
as a watchmaker's hand
taking what is
forded by friends &
I live prodigal
by another name
jailed by a sentence
bankrupt by tradition
for the end comes fully
sated, what remains is
your face
un-
covered in
my blood
|
in the quiet
harvests
now af-
filiations
of death come
as a crest of words
in a story stopped
& words begot—
fed yet un-
breathing,
your free wonder
conceding
the earth & sun
as ether, burning pious |
